Fellowships
The Possibility Fellowship Program at NDSU is a one-year premier entrepreneurial program.
Gain highly applicable, concrete skills to use in the real world, whether starting a business or social enterprise, or generating ideas within an existing business.

Fellows...
- Receive a $5,000 scholarship and up to $2,000 for travel and supplies to help develop your ideas and sharpen skills.
- Build a network of business advisors and mentors, creating the opportunity to gain access to seed capital.» Graduate with the knowledge and skills needed to make the most of talents, ambitions and entrepreneurial ideas.
- Work together to support each other in designing and implementing entrepreneurial projects.
- Embrace leadership roles and explore ways of disseminating and promoting entrepreneurial initiatives across campus
Fellows Participate In...
- A program that introduces the Fellows to entrepreneurship as a way of thinking and acting that goes beyond the traditional discipline boundaries as we know them today.
- In-person, monthly meetings, during fall 2023 and spring 2024, focusing on building the capacity of each Fellow to carry out high-quality, ethical entrepreneurial projects.
- Mental Fitness Training for improved emotional intelligence (EQ) and enhanced performance without sacrificing wellness.
Eligibility Requirements
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Have a desire to create an impact on campus and in the community
Display inventiveness and a passion for entrepreneurship» Be enrolled at NDSU as an undergraduate or graduate student

HOW TO APPLY
To be considered for a Possibility Fellowship, you will need to prepare and submit:
Cover Letter
In your letter, please indicate your top three areas of interest for specialized training from the following options: Venture Finance, Family Business, Innovation, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Social Impact, Systems-Thinking, Technology, STEM, AI and Research. Additionally, please explain why the selection committee should choose you for this Fellowship
Responses to These Prompts
- “Some say social media is superficial, with no room for expressing deep or complex ideas.” We challenge you to defy these skeptics by describing yourself as fully and accurately as possible in the 140-character limit of a tweet
- Leadership experience: Tell us about areas in your life, school, social or family where you demonstrated leadership. Discuss your current involvement in entrepreneurial activities and/or any plans that you have to get involved in entrepreneurial activities (e.g., Pathway Ventures, Map the System, Job opportunities, I-Gem, Startup ideas, I-Corp training).
- In 500 words or less, celebrate your nerdy side.
- In 500-1,000 words, tell us why the concept of entrepreneurship is important to you and how you will carry that forward in your field of study (whether starting a business, innovating upon industry standards or evolving new areas within the industry).
