NDSU Entrepreneurship Represents at Babson Entrepreneurship Conference (BCERC)
June 10, 2022

Dr. Joshua Marineau and Dr. Onnolee Nordstrom recently attended the Babson Entrepreneurship
Conference (BCERC). Founded by Babson College in 1981, BCERC is considered by many to
be the premier entrepreneurship research conference in the world. This year the 2022 BCERC
was co-sponsored by Baylor University and the Baylor Hankamer School of Business at Waco,
Texas, USA.

The Entrepreneurship Research Conference was established to provide a dynamic venue where
academics and real-world practitioners, through spirited dialogue, could link theory and practice.
Each year, the conference attracts more than 350 entrepreneurial scholars who come to hear the
presentation of more than 220 papers. Josh and Onnolee presented their work on Entrepreneurial
Ecosystem Leaders and received many great comments and valuable feedback. Both Marineau
and Nordstrom commented about the intriguing research projects that they heard presented by
other scholars from all across the world. Topics included ADHD, entrepreneurial fear,
internationalization, crypto, ethics, gender, and many other topics.

BCERC also made time for the scholars to explore and have some fun! The conference attendees
were hosted at the Dr. Pepper Museum and the Baylor Bears football stadium. Josh and Onnolee
visited Magnolia, a huge entrepreneurial success story started by Chip and Joanna Gaines and
they even found time to kick back and try some local brew.
