NDSU’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business Encourages Grad Students to Participate in the 3MT Competition
October 31, 2024

The NDSU Center for Entrepensup and Family Business is thrilled to continue its support for the North Dakota State Univeristy Three Minute Thesis competition by providing two innovation awards, each worth $500, to the competitors with the most innovative presentations.  All 3MT participants are eligible for the innovation awards in addition to the $250 awarded to preliminary round winners and the $1,000 award for the championship round winner.

The innovation award will recognize thesis works focusing on developing innovative technology and/or developing a creative solution to a major problem. This award was established to further the Center’s desire to spark creative problem-solving in economic, social, institutional and cultural environments. The innovation awards will be judged by a panel of NDSU faculty and community entrepreneurs.

The NDSU Three Minute Thesis competition invites graduate students to present a compelling discussion on their research topic to the general public in just three minutes or less. The presentations will be judged on content, comprehension, communication and engagement. Registration for the NDSU Three Minute Thesis competition closes December 15, 2024. NDSU graduate students enrolled for the spring semester 2025 are eligible to register. For more information, visit the NDSU Three Minute Thesis website.
