Murphy Anderson is the Communications Project Manager for the NDSU Department of Public Health Center for Immunization Research and Education (CIRE). Through this role, Murphy studies and implements communication strategies to increase vaccine acceptance and address vaccine hesitancy. She works with expert collaborators to design and test interventions, while analyzing how to use social media platforms to increase immunization rates and tackle misinformation.

Murphy completed her Master of Public Health degree from NDSU in 2021, specializing in Community Health Sciences with a certificate in Infectious Disease Prevention. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Women’s Studies from Penn State University in 2013. Go Nittany Lions! In her free time, Murphy enjoys reading, writing, and traveling with family and friends.

Murphy assists as an advisor for the Problem to Possibilities Program.
